Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) commonly referred to as "drones" are filling up the skies around the world and revolutionizing the fields of security, surveillance, and military operations. But is everything that drones provide truly in the best interest of the American people and furthermore the people overseas who have lost innocent loved ones due to combat drone attacks? In addition to the controversial topic of combat drones is the question of drone surveillance. Evidently the UAV technology has the potential to vastly enhance surveillance capabilities, but at what cost? Are people willing to forego their privacy and other civil liberties for the sake of so called protection?
